Briony Chastine "Bree" Cole (born February 28, 1983) is a retired Australian diver. She achieved great success in her sport. Briony won a gold medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. She also earned silver and bronze medals at the 2007 World Championships. A major highlight was her silver medal at the Beijing 2008 Olympics. She also secured a bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Briony Cole's Early Life and Career

Briony Chastine Cole was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1983. As a child, she first competed in gymnastics. This sport helped her develop skills that were perfect for diving.

Diving Achievements

Briony quickly became a top diver. With her partner Sharleen Stratton, she won a gold medal. This was in the 3-meter synchronized diving event at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

In 2007, Briony continued her success. She earned a silver medal and a bronze medal at the World Championships. The following year, in 2008, she teamed up with Melissa Wu. Together, they won a silver medal in the 10-meter synchronized platform event at the Beijing Olympics. This was a huge achievement for them. Briony also won a bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

Life After Diving

Briony's parents are Mary and Wayne Cole. She also has an older sister named Sian. Briony studied at Deakin University. She earned two bachelor's degrees. One was in teaching, and the other was in applied science. This second degree focused on human movement.
