History of Bristow
Bristow was officially started as a town in 1902. This happened when the railroad tracks were built to reach that spot. The village was named after a very important person named Benjamin Bristow. He used to be the United States Secretary of the Treasury. This job is like being in charge of all the money for the country. He served during the time when Ulysses S. Grant was the President of the United States.

Bristow's population has changed over the years. The village had its largest population in 1920 with 255 people. Since then, the number of people living there has slowly decreased.

In 2010, a count of the people living in Bristow was done. This count is called a census. It showed that 65 people lived in the village. These people lived in 37 different homes, and 19 of those homes were families.
