Brock, known as Takeshi in Japan, is a popular fictional character from the Pokémon series. You can find him in the video games, Manga, and TV shows. He often travels with Ash Ketchum and Misty on their exciting journeys. One funny thing about Brock is that he often gets crushes on almost every girl he meets! People call him "The Rock-Solid Pokémon Trainer" because he uses strong Rock-type Pokémon.
Brock in the Pokémon TV Show
Brock first appears in the early Pokémon TV series. When we first meet him, he has many younger brothers and sisters. He was in charge of them and took care of them. His mom, Lola, was away, and his dad, Flint, had left home.
After Flint came back, Brock was able to join Ash and Misty. They traveled together through the Kanto region. He later left the group for a short time to work with Professor Ivy in the Orange Islands. But he soon returned and continued his adventures with Ash. They explored the Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions together. Brock often uses Rock-type Pokémon like Geodude and Onix. He also has other Pokémon, such as Zubat.
Brock in the Pokémon Video Games
Brock is also a character in many Pokémon video games. He is the first Gym Leader you meet in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow. You can also find him in the remakes, FireRed and LeafGreen.
As the Gym Leader of Pewter City, Brock specializes in Rock-type Pokémon. If you defeat him in a battle, he will give you the special Boulder Badge. He also appears in Gold, Silver, and Crystal. In these games, and their remakes HeartGold and SoulSilver, you can battle him when you reach the Kanto region.
