Brock Hall is a special area in eastern Prince George's County, Maryland. It's called an unincorporated area and a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a community that isn't officially a town or city, but the U.S. Census Bureau defines it for gathering population data. Brock Hall is located south of Largo and Bowie, and north of Upper Marlboro. In 2020, about 13,181 people lived there.

History of Brock Hall
Brock Hall was first recognized as its own census-designated place (CDP) for the 2010 U.S. Census. Before that, it was considered part of a larger area called Greater Upper Marlboro.
Later, for the 2020 U.S. Census, a small part of Brock Hall was changed. It became part of a brand new CDP called Brown Station.
Geography and Location
Brock Hall is found in the eastern part of Prince George's County, Maryland. It's about 11 miles (18 km) east of the border of Washington, D.C.. It's also about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Upper Marlboro.
A major road, U.S. Route 301, forms the eastern edge of the community. In 2010, Brock Hall covered a total area of about 13.7 square miles (35.6 sq km). Most of this area was land, with a small portion being water.

The population of Brock Hall has grown over time. In 2010, there were 9,552 people living here. By 2020, the population had increased to 13,181.
Most people living in Brock Hall are Black or African American. In 2020, about 86.79% of the population identified as Black or African American (not Hispanic). There are also smaller groups of White, Asian, and people of mixed races. About 3.59% of the population identified as Hispanic or Latino in 2020.
Education in Brock Hall
Public schools in Brock Hall are managed by Prince George's County Public Schools. Several elementary schools serve different parts of the area. These include Arrowhead, Barack Obama, Patuxent, and Pointer Ridge elementary schools.
For middle school, most students go to Kettering Middle School. Some parts of Brock Hall are zoned for Benjamin Tasker and James Madison middle schools. High school students attend Dr. Henry A Wise, Jr. High School, Largo High School, or Bowie High School.
Brock Hall is also home to Imagine Foundations at Leeland Charter School. This school is located on a 54-acre (22 ha) campus. It has seven buildings that were originally built for a private school called Queen Anne School.
Queen Anne School started in 1964. It was founded by St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church, Leeland. The school grew to almost 300 students at one point. However, by 2011, its enrollment dropped to only 94 students, and the school had to close. Imagine Foundations at Leeland Charter School then moved into the campus that same year.
Culture and Community
St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church, Leeland is an important part of the community and is located within Brock Hall.
