Early Life and Training
Brooke Williams grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand. From a very young age, she knew she wanted to be an actress. She started performing in local plays and took acting classes.
Later, she moved to London to train even more. She studied at places like Mme Course and Acting for Screen. She also joined the theatre company at Globe Theatre. In 2002, she performed in a play called Gogo the Boy with Magic Feet at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She even won an award for her work in that play!
After her time in London, Brooke returned to New Zealand. She worked at the Court Theatre in Christchurch. In 2004, she moved north and continued her studies. She graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 2006 with a degree in performing arts.
Acting Career
In 2007, Brooke moved to Auckland. There, she joined the Auckland Theatre Company. She played the main character, Juliet, in a famous play called Romeo & Juliet.
Her journey into television started in 2005. She acted in a movie called Meet Me in Miami. After that, she appeared in popular TV series. These included Spartacus: Blood and Sand, its prequel Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and Legend of the Seeker. In 2008, Brooke also appeared in a TV advertisement. She won two theatre awards in 2010.
In 2011, she was in a music video for the band Sleeping Dogs. She also joined the cast of Shortland Street, a well-known New Zealand TV show, playing a character named Lana. In 2012, she played Aurelia again in Spartacus: Vengeance. She left Shortland Street in early 2013.
