Cool Towers: TD Canada Trust and Bay Wellington
Brookfield Place has two impressive towers. They were both designed by the same architects, Bregman + Hamann Architects and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
TD Canada Trust Tower
The TD Canada Trust Tower is 53 storeys tall. It has a unique design with parts that are set back and a spire at the top. This tower was finished in 1990.
It was first known as the Canada Trust Tower. In 2000, the Toronto-Dominion Bank bought Canada Trust. That's when the "TD" logo replaced the old Canada Trust sign at the top.
Bay Wellington Tower
The Bay Wellington Tower is 49 storeys high and was completed in 1992. Its design works together with the TD Canada Trust Tower. For example, if one tower has a part that sticks out, the other might have a part that is set back.
The Bay Wellington Tower also has a special feature: it has two spires, unlike the TD Canada Trust Tower's single spire.

The Amazing Allen Lambert Galleria
The Allen Lambert Galleria is a stunning indoor walkway. People sometimes call it the "crystal cathedral of commerce" because it looks so grand. It was designed by a famous Spanish architect named Santiago Calatrava.
This six-storey-high walkway connects Bay Street to Sam Pollock Square. It has eight tall supports on each side. These supports branch out into curved shapes, making it feel like you're walking through a beautiful forest or a tree-lined street.
The Galleria was built to meet Toronto's public art requirements. It's a very popular spot for photos and is often seen in news reports, TV shows, and movies.
The design of the Galleria's roof is similar to an earlier work by Santiago Calatrava. He created a curved, arched roof for a high school in Switzerland.
Who Owns Brookfield Place?
Brookfield Place is owned by different companies. The Bay Wellington Tower part of the complex is owned by Brookfield Office Properties. The TD Tower section was owned by the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS).
In 2012 or 2013, OMERS sold half of its share in the TD Tower. This sale was a very big deal in Canada's commercial property market.
Hockey Hall of Fame

One of the most exciting parts of Brookfield Place is the Hockey Hall of Fame. It's located in a beautiful old building that used to be a Bank of Montreal branch. This building was built way back in 1885.
Inside, you can see pictures of all the famous hockey players who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. You can also see many important hockey trophies, including the very first Stanley Cup trophy!
