Brule is a small village in Keith County, Nebraska, United States. In 2020, about 331 people lived there. The village got its name from the Brule Sioux people. They were a Native American group who used to camp in this area.

A Look at Brule's History
Brule was started in 1886. A man named Major Isaac Barton and his wife Elizabeth bought a small piece of land to begin the village.
The village began to grow more when the Union Pacific Railroad came through. Railroads were very important back then for travel and moving goods.

Brule is a small place, covering about 0.80 square kilometers (0.31 square miles) of land. There is no water area within the village limits.
The village is easy to find because it's right on U.S. Route 30. It's also just one mile north of Interstate 80, a major highway.
