What Did Brune Poirson Do Before Politics?
Brune Poirson started her career in London. For about two years, she worked as a legislative assistant for a Labour Member of Parliament. This means she helped a politician with their work on laws. She also did research at an organization called Nesta.
In London, she met Sam Pitroda, who was a minister in India. In 2009, she joined his team in New Delhi. After that, she worked for the French Development Agency. Here, she helped manage projects focused on making cities better and protecting nature. This included projects for sustainable urban development and saving different types of plants and animals.
In 2012, Poirson and a partner started a group called CITRIX. This group focused on sustainable urban development. Later, she joined Veolia, a large company. She became the director for sustainable development and social responsibility for one of its parts, Veolia Water India. In this role, she worked on projects to bring clean drinking water to people in crowded areas of big Indian cities.
Before entering politics, Poirson also worked in Boston, United States, until 2016. There, she was part of a company that helps new businesses focused on green technology.
Brune Poirson's Political Journey
Becoming a Member of the National Assembly
