How Bruxie Started
Bruxie was created by two people, Dean Simon and Kelly Mullarney, in 2010. Their very first restaurant opened in a city called Orange, California. People really enjoyed the food there. The restaurant quickly became very popular.
Bruxie's Growth and Changes
In March 2014, Bruxie opened a restaurant outside of California for the first time. This new location was in Glendale, Colorado. However, this restaurant closed less than a year later, in January 2015.
In April 2016, Bruxie opened another restaurant. This one was in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was located in a fun area called The Park, near big casinos.
Bruxie even opened a restaurant in another country! In August 2017, they opened their first international restaurant in Seoul, South Korea. It was inside a large shopping center called Lotte World Mall.
Franchising and the Pandemic
Around 2019, Bruxie started planning to let other people open their own Bruxie restaurants. This is called franchising. They had plans for more than 18 new locations in different states like California, Colorado, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida.
However, these plans were put on hold. This happened because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March 2020, Bruxie announced that all its restaurants in Southern California would close for a while. This was also due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The restaurants stayed closed until October 2020. Then, their locations in Orange and Brea reopened with new owners.
