Bryan McClendon (born December 28, 1983) is an American football coach. He is currently the wide receivers coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This team plays in the National Football League (NFL).
Before joining the Buccaneers, he worked at the University of Georgia. There, he was the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach from 2022 to 2023. He held the same roles at the University of Oregon from 2020 to 2021. He also served as an interim head coach for Oregon in the Alamo Bowl in 2021. McClendon was also an offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for the University of South Carolina. He was even an interim head coach for the University of Georgia for one game in 2015. That game was the TaxSlayer Bowl.

Early Life and Playing Football
Bryan McClendon played high school football at Benjamin E. Mays High School. This school is in Atlanta, Georgia. After high school, he played as a wide receiver for the University of Georgia. He finished college in 2005.
His senior class at Georgia won 44 games. This was a record for the most wins in Georgia's history for a long time. In 2005, during his senior year, McClendon caught a game-winning touchdown pass. This helped Georgia beat Georgia Tech 14–7. After college, he spent a summer with the Chicago Bears in the NFL.
Coaching Career
Bryan McClendon has coached for several college teams and now in the NFL. He has held many different coaching roles.
Coaching at Georgia (First Time)
McClendon started his coaching career at Georgia as a graduate assistant. This means he helped coaches while also studying. Later, he became the running backs coach. From 2009 to 2013, he coached running backs. In 2015, he became the wide receivers coach.
From 2013 to 2015, McClendon also helped find new players as the recruiting coordinator. In January 2015, he was promoted to assistant head coach. When head coach Mark Richt left Georgia in late 2015, McClendon was chosen as the interim head coach. He led the team in the TaxSlayer Bowl.
Coaching at South Carolina
After Georgia hired a new head coach, Bryan McClendon moved to the University of South Carolina. He became the co-offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach. An offensive coordinator helps plan how the team will score points.
In January 2018, he was promoted to offensive coordinator for the Gamecocks. After the 2019 season, his role changed. He went back to being just the wide receivers coach.
Coaching at Oregon
On April 17, 2020, McClendon was hired by the University of Oregon. He became the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach there. In December 2021, he was named the interim head coach for the Alamo Bowl. This happened after their head coach left. After that season, he was offered another coaching job but decided not to take it.
Return to Georgia
On January 31, 2022, McClendon returned to the University of Georgia. He was hired as the wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. This was his second time coaching for the Bulldogs. He was part of the coaching staff when Georgia won the National Championship against TCU.
Coaching for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On February 23, 2024, Bryan McClendon was named the wide receivers coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is his first coaching job in the NFL.
Personal Life
Bryan McClendon is married to Amber Arnold. They have one son named Bryan. Bryan's father, Willie McClendon, was also a football player. He played as a running back at Georgia and for the Chicago Bears.
