Bubble Tape facts for kids

Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Bubble Tape is a super fun type of Hubba Bubba bubble gum. It was first made by the Wrigley Company in 1988. This gum became really popular in the early 1990s. Kids loved it because of its cool packaging. It was also marketed directly to kids, with the slogan "it's six feet of bubble gum - for you, not them!" This meant it was just for kids, not adults. When it was most popular, over a million Bubble Tape containers were made every week!

Bubble Tape comes in a small, round, plastic container. It looks a lot like a hockey puck. Inside, there are six feet (about 1.8 meters) of gum. The gum is wrapped up in a spiral shape. The container works like a tape dispenser. You can pull out the gum and bite off how much you want! The top part can also be taken off or broken.
