Early Life and Family

Burt Jenner was born on September 6, 1978. His parents are Chrystie Scott and Caitlyn Jenner, who was an Olympic decathlete. A decathlete is an athlete who competes in ten different track and field events. Burt was named after Caitlyn's brother, who passed away in a car accident.

Burt has one full sister named Casey. His parents divorced in 1981. Later, Caitlyn Jenner married two more times. Through these marriages, Burt gained several half-siblings: Brandon Jenner, Brody Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner. He also had step-siblings from the Kardashian family when Caitlyn married Kris Jenner.

Burt has shared that his relationship with Caitlyn was sometimes difficult after she remarried. He felt she was not always around. He once thought Kris Jenner had changed his relationship with Caitlyn. However, he later apologized and now talks with Kris regularly. Burt and his sister Casey were not asked to be on the TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians at first. But Burt later appeared on four episodes of that show and one episode of Call Me Cait.

In the 1980s, Burt's parent, Caitlyn Jenner, raced cars professionally for Jack Roush. Burt grew up watching Caitlyn race and quickly fell in love with racing himself. Caitlyn introduced him to go-karts when he was seven years old. Go-karting soon became his favorite sport, replacing downhill skiing.

Business Career

Starting West LA Dogs

When Burt Jenner was in his early 30s, he was struggling financially. He decided to become a dog walker. Burt was a big supporter of pit bull dogs. Because he was good at working with pit bulls, people started asking him to help socialize their dogs.

At one point, Burt began keeping his clients' dogs at his home when they were away. This was not allowed. During one Christmas holiday, he had 73 dogs staying in his two-bedroom cottage.

Building West LA Dogs

Burt won $100,000 on a racing competition show called Octane Academy. This was the most money he had ever earned. He used all of it to start a proper dog boarding business. He named it "West LA Dogs."

West LA Dogs is located in a large 14,000-square-foot building. Burt used his entire $100,000 winnings as a down payment for the facility. He did not want to ask Caitlyn to help him with the lease. For a while, he even lived at the facility with his girlfriend, Valerie Pitalo. The business became profitable within 18 months. West LA Dogs offers organic food for dogs. Owners can also pay for their dogs to stay in private rooms with human beds and flat-screen TVs.
