Byron is a town located in Monroe County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In the year 2000, about 1,394 people lived there. The smaller communities of Shennington and Valley Junction are also part of the town.

Byron covers a total area of about 36.1 square miles (93.4 square kilometers). Most of this area, 35.5 square miles (91.9 square kilometers), is land. The remaining 0.6 square miles (1.5 square kilometers) is water.

Based on the census from the year 2000, there were 1,394 people living in Byron. These people lived in 501 different households, and 384 of these were families.
