Byron Edward Irvin (born December 2, 1966) is an American who used to play professional basketball. He was a shooting guard, standing 6 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds. The Portland Trail Blazers picked him in the first round of the 1989 NBA draft. He played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Missouri Tigers.

High School Basketball Star

Byron Irvin went to Percy Julian High School in Chicago. During his last year of high school, he was an amazing player. He scored an average of 32 points in each game. In one game, he even scored 50 points all by himself!

Byron started his college basketball career at the University of Arkansas. He played there from 1984 to 1986. After that, he moved to the University of Missouri. He played for the Missouri Tigers from 1987 to 1989. He also earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri.

Byron Irvin played in the NBA for three seasons. He played for the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1989–90 season. Then, he joined the Washington Bullets for the 1990–91 and 1992–93 seasons. During his NBA career, he averaged 5.2 points per game.
