Byron Edward Irvin (born December 2, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player. He played as a shooting guard. Byron was picked by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 1989 NBA draft. He also played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks and Missouri Tigers.

Byron Irvin's Early Life and High School Basketball

Byron Irvin went to Chicago's Percy Julian High School. In his last year of high school, he was an amazing scorer. He averaged 32 points in each game. In one game, he even scored 50 points!

College Basketball Career

Byron played college basketball at the University of Arkansas. He played there from 1984 to 1986. After that, he moved to the University of Missouri. He played for Missouri from 1987 to 1989. He also earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri.

Byron Irvin's Professional Basketball Career

Byron Irvin played in the NBA for three seasons. He played for the Portland Trail Blazers in 1989–90. Then, he played for the Washington Bullets in 1990–91 and 1992–93. During his NBA career, he scored about 5.2 points per game.

Besides the NBA, Byron also played in the Continental Basketball Association. He played basketball in many countries around the world. These included Spain, Greece, Israel, and the Philippines.
