Càrn Mòr is a cool mountain located in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. It's found near an area called the Rough Bounds of Knoydart. This mountain stands tall at 829 meters (about 2,719 feet) high.

Because of its height, Càrn Mòr is known as a Corbett. Corbetts are mountains in Scotland that are between 762 and 914 meters tall. It's also called a Marilyn because it sticks up a lot from the land around it. This mountain is about 26 kilometers (16 miles) from a town called Fort William.

What Càrn Mòr Looks Like

Càrn Mòr has different kinds of slopes. On its eastern and southeastern sides, the slopes are not too steep. They are mostly smooth, without many big rocks or cliffs.

But if you look at the western and northwestern sides, it's a different story! These parts of the mountain are very steep and have lots of rocky cliffs. This makes them look more like the other rugged mountains in the Knoydart area.

How to Climb Càrn Mòr

You can climb Càrn Mòr from a place called Strathan, which is to the east. The best way to go is along its eastern ridge. This path helps climbers avoid the really tough and rocky parts on the western side of the mountain. It's a safer and easier way to reach the top!
