Life and Career
Cécile Aubry started her career as a dancer. When she was 20 years old, she signed a contract with a big movie studio called 20th Century Fox. She quickly became a star in the movie Manon (1949). This film won a major award, the Golden Lion, at the Venice Film Festival in Italy.
Her success in Manon led her to a main role in an American film called The Black Rose (1950). In this movie, she acted alongside famous stars like Tyrone Power and Orson Welles.
