History of Cabo Blanco

Cabo Blanco was first described in 1899. A famous Chilean geographer, Francisco Solano Asta-Buruaga y Cienfuegos, wrote about it. He included it in his book called Diccionario Geográfico de la República de Chile.

In his book, Asta-Buruaga described Cabo Blanco as a "small and disperse hamlet." This means it was a small settlement with houses spread out.

Cabo Blanco is located to the west of the Cruces River. This river is an important waterway in the area. The community is also about eight kilometers (about 5 miles) away from the city of Valdivia.
