Cafer Tayyar Eğilmez (born 1877 – died January 3, 1958) was a very important military leader. He started his career as an officer in the Ottoman Army. Later, he became a general in the Turkish Army. He is remembered for his bravery in big wars.

Cafer Tayyar Eğilmez was born in 1877 in a place called Priştine. This area is now known as Kosovo. He joined the military when he was young. He served for many years, first in the Ottoman Empire's army.
