Cameron Elijah Reddish (born September 1, 1999) is an American professional basketball player. He plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before joining the NBA, he played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. The Atlanta Hawks picked him as the 10th overall player in the 2019 NBA draft.
When he finished high school, many experts thought Reddish was one of the best young basketball players. He was named Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball in his final year. He also got to play in famous all-star games like the 2018 McDonald's All-American Boys Game, the 2018 Jordan Brand Classic, and the 2018 Nike Hoop Summit.

High School Career
Cam Reddish started his high school basketball journey at the Haverford School in Haverford, Pennsylvania. Later, he moved to Westtown School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. There, he played alongside Mohamed Bamba, who also became an NBA player.
Playing for Westtown
As a junior, Reddish scored an average of 16.2 points per game. He helped his team, the Moose, win the Friend's School League title. In the summer of 2017, he played for his Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team, Team Final. He averaged 23.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.
Later that summer, he joined the United States men's national under-19 basketball team. He had planned to play for the under-17 team the year before, but an injury stopped him. In his senior year, he averaged 22.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. After this great season, he was named Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball for 2018. He was also chosen to play in several important all-star games.
Becoming a Top Recruit
Cam Reddish was considered a "five-star recruit." This means he was one of the very best high school players in the country. Experts like 247Sports and ESPN ranked him as the third-best player in the 2018 class. On September 1, 2017, Reddish decided to play college basketball for Duke University. He joined two other top players, RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson, to form a very strong team.
College Career
Cam Reddish played one year of college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. He had a strong start in his first game on November 6, 2018. He scored 22 points in a big win against Kentucky. A few days later, he scored 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds against Army.
Throughout the season, Reddish had many good games. He scored 23 points, including the winning shot, against Florida State. He also scored 24 points against Boston College and 22 points in a comeback win against Louisville.
In total, Reddish played in 36 games for Duke. He averaged 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He was recognized for his play and was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Honorable Mention team. After his freshman year, on April 11, 2019, Reddish decided to enter the 2019 NBA draft to become a professional player.
Professional Career
Atlanta Hawks (2019–2022)
On June 20, 2019, the Atlanta Hawks chose Cam Reddish as the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft. He officially signed with the Hawks on July 1, 2019. His first NBA game was on October 24, 2019. He started the game and helped the Hawks win against the Detroit Pistons.
On December 22, 2021, Reddish had his best scoring game with the Hawks. He scored 36 points, but his team lost to the Orlando Magic.
New York Knicks (2022–2023)
On January 13, 2022, the Hawks traded Reddish to the New York Knicks. He made his debut for the Knicks on January 23, 2022. Later that season, on March 10, 2022, the Knicks announced that Reddish would miss the rest of the season because of a right shoulder injury.
When the 2022–23 season started, Reddish's role on the Knicks team was not clear. After getting some starting chances in November, his playing time changed in December 2022.
Portland Trail Blazers (2023)
On February 9, 2023, Reddish was traded again. This time, he went to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of a trade involving four teams. He played his first game for the Trail Blazers the very next day. He scored 11 points in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Los Angeles Lakers (2023–present)
On July 6, 2023, Cam Reddish signed with the Los Angeles Lakers. On November 11, 2023, he scored 17 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in a win against the Phoenix Suns. A big moment came on December 9, 2023, when Reddish and the Lakers won the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament.

Personal Life
Cam Reddish was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania. His parents are Zanthia and Robert Reddish. His father, Robert, also played college basketball at VCU. Cam has a younger brother named Aaron, who plays college basketball for the Albany Great Danes.
