Cameron Patrick Reddish (born September 1, 1999) is an American professional basketball player. He last played for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Before joining the NBA, he played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. The Atlanta Hawks picked him 10th overall in the first round of the 2019 NBA draft.
When he finished high school, Cam Reddish was considered one of the best young basketball players. He was named "Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball" in his final year. He also played in famous high school All-Star games like the 2018 McDonald's All-American Boys Game.

High School Basketball Journey
Cam Reddish started his high school career at the Haverford School in Pennsylvania. Later, he moved to Westtown School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. There, he played alongside Mohamed Bamba, who also became an NBA player.
During his junior year, Reddish scored about 16.2 points per game. He helped his team, the Moose, win a league title. In the summer of 2017, he played for his Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) team, Team Final. He averaged 23.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists. That same summer, he played for the United States men's national under-19 basketball team.
In his senior year, he averaged 22.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. After this great season, he was named "Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball" for 2018. He was also chosen to play in several top All-Star games. These included the 2018 McDonald's All-American Game, the Jordan Brand Classic, and the Nike Hoop Summit.
Becoming a Top Recruit
Cam Reddish was a highly sought-after player by colleges. Experts rated him as a "five-star recruit," meaning he was one of the very best. Both 247Sports and ESPN ranked him as the third-best player in the 2018 class.
On September 1, 2017, Reddish decided to play for Duke University. He joined two other top players, RJ Barrett and Zion Williamson. This made Duke's team very exciting for the upcoming season.

College Basketball at Duke
Cam Reddish played one season of college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils. He made his debut on November 6, 2018. In that game, he scored 22 points as Duke won against Kentucky.
Throughout the season, Reddish showed his skills. He scored 25 points and grabbed 7 rebounds against Army. He also had a game-winning shot against Florida State, where he scored 23 points. He scored 24 points against Boston College and 22 points in a comeback win against Louisville.
Overall, Reddish played in 36 games for Duke. He averaged 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. He was recognized for his play and was named to the All-ACC Honorable Mention team.
After his freshman year, on April 11, 2019, Reddish decided to enter the 2019 NBA draft. This meant he would leave college early to become a professional player.
Professional Basketball Career
Atlanta Hawks (2019–2022)
The Atlanta Hawks selected Cam Reddish as the 10th overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft on June 20, 2019. He officially signed with the team on July 1, 2019.
Reddish made his NBA debut on October 24, 2019. He started the game and helped the Hawks win against the Detroit Pistons. On December 22, 2021, he had his best scoring game with the Hawks. He scored 36 points, but his team lost to the Orlando Magic.
New York Knicks (2022–2023)
On January 13, 2022, the Hawks traded Reddish to the New York Knicks. He made his Knicks debut on January 23, 2022. Unfortunately, his first season with the Knicks ended early. On March 10, 2022, the team announced that he would miss the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury.
At the start of the 2022–23 season, Reddish's role with the Knicks was uncertain. After getting some starting chances in November, the coach decided to remove him from the main group of players in December 2022.
Portland Trail Blazers (2023)
On February 9, 2023, Reddish was part of a big trade involving four teams. He was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. He played his first game for the Trail Blazers the very next day. He scored 11 points in a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Los Angeles Lakers (2023–2025)
Cam Reddish signed with the Los Angeles Lakers on July 6, 2023. On December 9, 2023, Reddish and the Lakers won the first-ever NBA In-Season Tournament. This was a new competition in the NBA.
In February 2025, there was news that Reddish was traded to the Charlotte Hornets. However, just two days later, the trade was canceled. This happened because the Hornets could not meet part of the deal. Reddish played in 33 games for the Lakers during the 2024–25 NBA season. He averaged 3.2 points per game. On March 27, 2025, the Lakers announced that they had released Reddish from the team.

Personal Life
Cam Reddish was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania. His parents are Zanthia and Robert Reddish. His father, Robert, also played college basketball at VCU. Cam has a younger brother named Aaron. Aaron played high school basketball for the Pebblebrook Falcons and is currently a senior for the Albany Great Danes.
