Candler-McAfee is a community in DeKalb County, Georgia, in the United States. It is not an official city. Instead, it is called an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's a recognized area where people live, used for gathering census data.
Candler-McAfee is located about 10 miles (16 kilometers) east of Downtown Atlanta. It is also south of Decatur, Georgia. In 2020, about 22,468 people lived here.

Where is Candler-McAfee Located?
Candler-McAfee is found just east of the big city of Atlanta, Georgia. It has clear boundaries that help define its area:
- To the north, it is bordered by Glenwood Avenue.
- To the west, it is bordered by 2nd Avenue.
- To the south, it is bordered by Interstate 20 (I-20).
- To the east, it is bordered by Interstate 285 (I-285).
Nearby communities include Belvedere Park to the north and Panthersville to the south.
The area covers about 7 square miles (18 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a very small amount of water. The famous East Lake Golf Club is right on the northern edge of Candler-McAfee.
