Caner Erkin, born on October 4, 1988, is a talented Turkish professional football player. He plays as a left-back, which is a defensive position on the left side of the field. Currently, he plays for the Süper Lig club Eyüpspor.

Caner Erkin's Club Journey
Early Years in Football
Caner Erkin started his professional football journey in the 2004–05 season. He joined Manisaspor, which was then in the Second Division. That season, his team won the league and moved up to the Süper Lig, Turkey's top football league. During his time at Manisaspor, he scored 5 goals in 39 games.
In January 2007, Caner moved to CSKA Moscow in Russia. He played 40 games for them, including 7 in the UEFA Champions League. He also helped CSKA Moscow win the Russian Super Cup twice. In August 2009, he joined Galatasaray on a one-year loan.
Playing for Fenerbahçe
In 2010, Caner Erkin signed with Fenerbahçe, another big Turkish club. He started as a left winger, an attacking player on the left side. Over time, he became a left-back, a defensive role. His great performances at Fenerbahçe caught the eye of many important European clubs. In 2014, he signed a new two-year contract with the team.
Time at Inter Milan
On June 1, 2016, Inter Milan, a famous Italian club, announced that Caner Erkin would join them. He signed a three-year deal starting on July 1. He was the first new player to join Inter that summer. Caner played in seven friendly matches before the season started. However, he did not play in any official games for Inter Milan. He left the club on August 30, 2016.
Loan to Beşiktaş
On August 30, 2016, Caner Erkin moved back to Turkey. He signed a one-year loan deal with Beşiktaş, another major club in Istanbul.
Joining Beşiktaş Permanently
On June 7, 2017, Beşiktaş officially signed Caner Erkin. He became a permanent player for the club. On August 23, 2019, he scored a goal against Göztepe S.K. in a league match, helping Beşiktaş win 3–0. He left Beşiktaş at the end of the 2019–20 season.
Returning to Fenerbahçe
On August 6, 2020, Caner Erkin signed a two-year deal to return to Fenerbahçe. He had spent four years at Beşiktaş before coming back. In his first game back on September 11, he assisted a goal for Gökhan Gönül, who also returned to the club. However, on August 4, 2021, Fenerbahçe announced that their manager decided Caner would not be part of the team for the upcoming season.
Moving to Fatih Karagümrük
On September 6, 2021, Fatih Karagümrük announced that Caner Erkin had joined their team as a free agent.
Playing for İstanbul Başakşehir
On January 28, 2023, Caner Erkin signed a contract with İstanbul Başakşehir. He played for them for a short period.
Current Club: Eyüpspor
On July 11, 2023, Caner Erkin joined Eyüpspor. This team plays in the TFF First League, which is the Turkish Second Division. He joined them as a free agent.
Caner Erkin's International Career
Caner Erkin first played for the Turkey national football team when he was just 17 years old. His first game was a friendly match against Ghana in May 2006. He scored his first goal for Turkey against Ukraine on June 5, 2012.
