Capicorb is a lovely seaside village in Spain. It's located on the Costa del Azahar, which is a beautiful part of the eastern Mediterranean coast. You can find Capicorb in the Castelló province within the Valencian Community. This charming village is part of the same local area as Alcala de Xivert, along with nearby Alcossebre and Les Fonts (also known as Las Fuentes). Capicorb is the southernmost village in this area, right on the border with Torreblanca.

Life in Capicorb

In 1970, about 142 people lived in Capicorb. Most of them worked in farming, especially raising cattle and using irrigation to grow crops. By 2007, the population had grown to 209 people. Many tourists and people who live there part-time during the summer now visit Capicorb. This has changed the way people make a living in the village, with more focus on tourism.

Capicorb's Beaches

Capicorb has several nice beaches for everyone to enjoy.

  • Manyetes, also called Tropicana, is a sandy beach perfect for building sandcastles.
  • Serradal and Capicorb beaches are made of pebbles, which are smooth stones.

Two seasonal rivers, the Barranc d'Estopet and the Coves River (or Sant Miquel), flow into the sea along this coastline. These rivers only have water during certain times of the year.

Important Buildings

Capicorb has some interesting old buildings.

  • The public school was built a long time ago, during the Second Spanish Republic. Today, local community groups use it for their activities.
  • There's also a small church called the Ermita de Sant Antoni. It was built in the 1700s and is a quiet place for reflection.
  • You can also see an ancient watchtower in Capicorb. This tower dates back to Moorish times, showing the long history of the area.
