What's the History of Capillas?
The town of Capillas was first mentioned a very long time ago, in the year 916. Back then, it was called Fonte de Capela. This name means "chapels" in Spanish, which is where the town gets its current name. It was one of the first places settled in this area.

Capillas is part of a region called Tierra de Campos. It's about 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) away from the city of Palencia and 52 kilometers (32.3 miles) from Valladolid.
