Carl's Corner is a small town in Hill County, Texas, United States. In 2020, about 201 people lived there. The town was started by and named after Carl Cornelius. He owned a local truck stop and was a long-time friend of the famous musician Willie Nelson.
Carl Cornelius created the town to help businesses operate more freely. His property next to the truck stop was a popular spot for several of Willie Nelson's Fourth of July concerts in the early 1980s. Carl's truck stop was also the first to sell BioWillie, a special type of biodiesel fuel promoted by Willie Nelson. The truck stop known as Willie's Place used to be located in Carl's Corner. Carl Cornelius passed away on September 21, 2021.

Geography of Carl's Corner
Carl's Corner is located in the northeastern part of Hill County, in central Texas. A major highway, Interstate 35E, runs through the town. You can get there from Exit 374.
The town of Hillsboro, which is the county seat, is about 7 miles (11 km) southwest. The big city of Dallas is about 55 miles (89 km) northeast.
The United States Census Bureau says Carl's Corner covers a total area of about 2.7 square miles (7.0 square kilometers). Only a very small part of this area, about 0.01 square miles (0.02 square kilometers), is water.
