Carlette Denise Guidry-Falkquay (born September 4, 1968) is a famous American former sprinter. She is best known for winning gold medals in the 4 x 100 metres relay race. She won these at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She also won gold at the 1995 World Championships. Carlette also achieved individual success. She won the 100 metres race at the 1990 Goodwill Games. She also earned a bronze medal in the 60 metres at the 1995 World Indoor Championships.

Carlette Guidry's Amazing Career
Carlette D. Guidry was born in Houston, Texas in 1968. She quickly became a top athlete. In 1991, she reached the 100 metres final at the World Championships in Tokyo.
Olympic and World Championship Wins
Carlette won her first Olympic gold medal in 1992. This was for the 4 x 100 metres relay at the Barcelona Olympics. She also placed fifth in the 200 metres final at those games. In 1995, she earned a bronze medal in the 60 metres event. This was at the 1995 IAAF World Indoor Championships. That same year, she finished fourth in the 100 metres final at the World Championships.
At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Carlette won another Olympic relay gold. She ran in the early races that helped her team qualify. She also finished eighth in the 200 metres final.
College Success and Awards
Before her Olympic fame, Carlette was a star at college. She competed for the Texas Longhorns at the University of Texas at Austin. This was from 1987 to 1991. She won an amazing twelve NCAA titles. The NCAA is a big sports organization for colleges in the U.S.
