Carlos Roberto Rocha Gallo (born March 4, 1956), known simply as Carlos, is a Brazilian former professional football player. He was a goalkeeper, which means he was the player who tries to stop the ball from going into the net.
Carlos played in the 1976 Summer Olympics football tournament. He also won a gold medal in football at the 1975 Pan American Games.

Playing for Clubs
Carlos Gallo had a long career playing for many different football clubs. He played from 1974 until 1993.
He played for several famous Brazilian teams. These included Ponte Preta, Corinthians, Atlético Mineiro, Guarani, Palmeiras, and Portuguesa.
Carlos also played for a team in Turkey called Malatyaspor from 1988 to 1989. During his career, he won two "Brazilian Silver Ball" awards. This award is given to the best players in the Brazilian league.
Playing for Brazil
Carlos Gallo also played for the Brazilian national team. He played 44 matches for his country between 1976 and 1993.
He was chosen to be part of Brazil's team for three FIFA World Cup tournaments: 1978, 1982, and 1986. The World Cup is a huge international football competition.
Carlos played in the 1986 World Cup. He was an amazing goalkeeper in that tournament. He only let in one goal in the five games Brazil played!
