Carlos Roberto Rocha Gallo (born on March 4, 1956), known simply as Carlos, is a famous Brazilian former football player. He played as a goalkeeper, which means his job was to stop the other team from scoring goals. Carlos competed in the men's football tournament at the 1976 Summer Olympics and won a gold medal in football at the 1975 Pan American Games.

Club Career
Carlos Gallo had a long and successful career playing football for different clubs from 1974 to 1993. He played for several well-known teams in Brazil. These included Ponte Preta, Corinthians, Atlético Mineiro, Guarani, Palmeiras, and Portuguesa.
He also played for a team called Malatyaspor in Turkey from 1988 to 1989. During his time playing in Brazil, Carlos won two "Brazilian Silver Ball" awards. This award is given to the best players in the Brazilian football league each year.
International Career
Carlos Gallo also played for his country, the Brazil national team. He played 44 matches for Brazil between 1976 and June 1993.
He was chosen to be part of the Brazil squad for three FIFA World Cup tournaments: 1978, 1982, and 1986. The FIFA World Cup is one of the biggest football competitions in the world. Carlos played in the 1986 World Cup. He was an amazing goalkeeper in that tournament, letting in only one goal in the five games Brazil played.
