Carlos Valentín José de la Soledad Antonio del Sacramento de Soublette y Jerez de Aristeguieta (born December 15, 1789 – died February 11, 1870) was an important leader in Venezuela. He was a brave soldier and later became the president of Venezuela two times. He helped Venezuela become an independent country.

Who Was Carlos Soublette?
Carlos Soublette was born in La Guaira, Venezuela. He grew up during a time when Venezuela was fighting for its freedom from Spain. He joined the army at a young age. He quickly became a respected military leader.
A Hero in the War for Independence
Carlos Soublette played a big part in the Venezuelan War of Independence. This was a long and difficult fight. He fought alongside other famous heroes like Simón Bolívar.
