Carol Kenyon (sometimes spelled Karol; born in 1959) is a talented British singer. She is famous for her powerful voice on the hit song "Temptation" by Heaven 17. This song reached number two on the UK Singles Chart in 1983. Later, in 1992, a new version of "Temptation" was released by Brothers in Rhythm, also featuring Carol's vocals, and it reached number 4.
Carol also sang on the popular song "Don't Waste My Time" by Paul Hardcastle. This song became a top 10 hit in 1986, reaching number 8. She has also recorded other songs like "Warrior Woman", "Dance with Me", and "Fascinating".

Carol's Early Life
Discovering Her Voice
When Carol Kenyon was a child, she loved to sing and dance. Her family encouraged her to take lessons and join arts festivals. She also learned to play the piano. Carol enjoyed listening to her father's collection of jazz records.
One day, while singing with her school choir at a music festival, a young musician named Guy Barker heard her. He was very impressed and encouraged her to take her singing more seriously.
Joining a Jazz Orchestra
Guy Barker later encouraged Carol to try out for the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO). After hearing her sing, NYJO invited her to join. She became their first regular band singer when she was only 14 years old. This was a big step in her music career!

Carol Kenyon is well-known as a session vocalist. This means she sings on many albums and singles for other famous artists. She has also performed in many concerts.
