Carramar is a cool suburb in Perth, Western Australia. It's part of the City of Wanneroo and is about 30 kilometers north of the main city center, known as the Perth CBD. Carramar got its name in 1997. The word "Carramar" comes from an Aboriginal language and means "shade of trees." This suburb, along with Tapping, was created in 1995 from an area called Neerabup. Its postcode is 6031.

Where is Carramar Located?

Carramar has clear borders. To the north, you'll find Flynn Drive. Pinjar Road is on its eastern side. Joondalup Drive marks the southern border, and Wanneroo Road is to the west.

In 2011, about 6,605 people lived in Carramar. This was a big jump from 2001, when only 2,497 people lived there. More houses were built, which brought more people.
