New Carrollton
You also shouldn't confuse Carrollton with New Carrollton, Maryland. New Carrollton is in Prince George's County. It's a different place entirely! New Carrollton was built in the 1950s as a suburb of Washington, D.C. It was actually called "Carrollton, Maryland" at first. But in 1966, its name was changed to "New Carrollton" to avoid confusion with other places.
