Caslan is a small community called a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada. It is part of Athabasca County. Caslan is located about 21 kilometers (13 miles) south of Highway 55. It is also about 152 kilometers (94 miles) west of Cold Lake. The first baby born in this area was in 1921.
Caslan has a general store where you can buy everyday items and gasoline. There is also a Canada Post office for sending mail. The hamlet is home to an elementary school, a community center for local events, and a volunteer fire hall. Homes in Caslan are often on large pieces of land. Some houses are used only during certain seasons.
