Caswell is a town in Aroostook County, Maine, United States. The population was 293 at the 2020 census.
History
The town was first organized on April 14, 1879, as Pleasant Ridge Plantation, and was later incorporated as Caswell on July 16, 1986. It has suffered a large decline in population since its peak, partly due to the closure of a saw mill that existed in town, as well as the closure of the nearby Loring Air Force Base in 1994.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 41.56 square miles (107.64 km2), of which 41.30 square miles (106.97 km2) is land and 0.26 square miles (0.67 km2) is water.

2010 census
As of the census of 2010, there were 306 people, 134 households, and 91 families living in the town. The population density was 7.4 inhabitants per square mile (2.9/km2). There were 176 housing units at an average density of 4.3 per square mile (1.7/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 96.4% White, 0.3% African American, 2.6% Native American, and 0.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.3% of the population.
There were 134 households, of which 32.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.8% were married couples living together, 11.9% had a female householder with no husband present, 11.2% had a male householder with no wife present, and 32.1% were non-families. 28.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.68.
The median age in the town was 45.3 years. 22.9% of residents were under the age of 18; 2% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 24.5% were from 25 to 44; 26.1% were from 45 to 64; and 24.5% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the town was 50.0% male and 50.0% female.
