Cedar Bluff is a town in Cherokee County, Alabama, United States. In 2020, about 1,845 people lived there. Unlike most of the county, Cedar Bluff allows the sale of alcohol. The town is located on the north side of Weiss Lake. This lake is famous for its great crappie fishing.

History of Cedar Bluff
A post office opened in Cedar Bluff in 1837. For a short time, from about 1836 to 1844, Cedar Bluff was the main town, or "county seat," for Cherokee County. Later, the county seat moved to Centre. The town got its name from the many cedar trees growing on the bluffs (steep cliffs) near the river.
Near Cedar Bluff, you can find the Cornwall Furnace. This historic site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Cedar Bluff is located in the northeastern part of Cherokee County. Its exact location is 34°13'14.182" North and 85°35'45.596" West.
The town covers a total area of about 4.8 square miles (12.49 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, about 4.81 square miles (12.46 square kilometers). A small part, about 0.01 square miles (0.04 square kilometers), is water. The town is surrounded by Weiss Lake on its north, west, and south sides.
