At the Holland Fest, you can enjoy tasty ethnic foods and listen to music. There are also fun races, like a 2-mile and a 10K run. Before the Saturday afternoon parade, children and adults dress up in traditional Dutch clothes. They even scrub the main street to get it ready for the Klompen Dancers and the parade.
A big replica windmill stands in Windmill Park downtown. It's another way the village shows off its Dutch roots. Besides Klompen Dancing, the festival also has a wooden shoe race. Kids race each other while wearing traditional Dutch wooden shoes. The festival is also famous for its Oliebollen, which are a type of Dutch doughnut.
