Cedric Earl Henderson (born March 11, 1975) is a former professional basketball player from the United States. He played for five seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). After his time in the NBA, he continued his basketball career in other leagues around the world. Cedric later became a basketball coach for college and high school teams.

Playing Basketball: From High School to the NBA
Cedric Henderson was a fantastic basketball player at Memphis East High School. He was even chosen for the McDonald's All-American Team, which is a big honor for young players. After high school, he played college basketball at the University of Memphis. He played as a small forward, a position that helps score points and get rebounds.
NBA Career Highlights
Cedric played five seasons in the NBA. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1997. He played for the Cavaliers for most of his NBA career. Later, he also played a short time for the Golden State Warriors.
After his NBA journey, Cedric played basketball in many different countries. He played in the NBDL (now called the G-League), France, Lebanon, Cyprus, and Ukraine. He won the CBA championship in 2003. He also won the Cypriot Basketball Cup in 2007, showing his skills across different leagues. He stopped playing professionally in 2007.
Coaching Basketball
After his playing career, Cedric Henderson started coaching. He wanted to share his knowledge and love for basketball with younger players.
College Coaching
Cedric has coached at the college level. He was an assistant coach and later the head coach for the men's basketball team at Southwest Tennessee Community College. During the 2018–2019 season, he led the team to a good record of 15 wins and 10 losses. He even coached his own son, Cedric Henderson Jr., there! He also worked as an assistant coach at Christian Brothers University.
High School Coaching
Cedric also coached high school basketball teams in Memphis. He was the head coach at Wooddale High School and Trezevant High School. In 2021, he became the interim head coach at Collierville High School. He later moved on to coach at Overton High School.
Personal Life
Cedric Henderson earned his college degree from The University of Memphis in 2008. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, a fraternity. His son, Cedric Henderson Jr., followed in his footsteps and also became a basketball player. Cedric Jr. played for Campbell University and the University of Arizona.
