About Ceduna Waters

How Ceduna Waters Was Formed

Ceduna Waters was officially created on December 8, 2011. Before this, it was part of the larger area known as Ceduna. The name "Ceduna Waters" was chosen because it shows where the place is located, right by the water. It also highlights that the new homes built here are focused on the sea.

What's Ceduna Waters Like?

Ceduna Waters is located along a beautiful coastline. On its western side, you'll find part of the east coast of Bosanquet Bay. As you move east, there's a point of land called Cape Vivonne. Further east, you'll see part of the west coast of Decres Bay.

Most of the land in Ceduna Waters is used for homes where people live. However, the areas right along the coastline are set aside for conservation. This means they are protected to keep nature safe and healthy.

Government and Representation

Ceduna Waters is part of different government areas. For national elections, it falls within the federal Division of Grey. For state elections in South Australia, it's in the electoral district of Flinders. Locally, it's managed by the District Council of Ceduna. These different levels of government help to look after the area and its residents.
