Celso Albelo (born on November 17, 1976) is a famous Spanish tenor opera singer. He has performed main roles in many important opera houses around the world. Some of these include the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House in London, and Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
About Celso Albelo
Celso Albelo was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain. He started his singing lessons with Pilar Castro Palazon. Later, he studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in his hometown. He also learned at the Queen Sofía College of Music in Madrid. There, his teachers were Tom Krause and Manuel Cid. He then improved his skills with Carlo Bergonzi at the Busseto Academy.
His Opera Journey
Celso Albelo began his professional career in 2006. His first big role was Duca di Mantova in the opera Rigoletto by Verdi. He performed this in Busseto, singing with Leo Nucci. Since then, he has been invited to sing in many famous opera houses.
He has performed at La Scala in Milan in operas like Pagliacci and Don Pasquale. He also sang at the Fenice in Venice in L'elisir d'amore and Rigoletto. Other important places include the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
Celso Albelo has sung in many cities across Italy. These include Trieste, Genoa, Bologna, Salerno, and Cagliari. He also performed at the Terme of Caracalla in Rome and the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.

Awards and Recognition
Celso Albelo has received many important awards for his singing. In 2008, he won the Opera Actual Prize. He also received the Opera Oscar from the Arena di Verona Foundation in 2010 and 2012. He was given the Teatro Campoamor National Prize for Opera in 2010 and 2012.
In 2013, he was awarded the Medalla de Oro de Canarias. He also received the Giuseppe Lugo Award in Italy that same year. In 2014, he won the Premio Codalario. Most recently, he was honored with the Premio Taburiente in 2017. These awards show how much his talent is appreciated in the world of opera.
