Celso Albelo (born November 17, 1976) is a famous opera singer from Spain. He is a tenor, which means he sings high male vocal parts in operas. Celso has performed in many of the world's most important opera houses, like the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Royal Opera House in London, and Teatro La Fenice in Venice.

Celso Albelo's Early Life and Training

Celso Albelo was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a city in the Canary Islands of Spain. He started his singing journey by taking lessons from Pilar Castro Palazon. Later, he continued his music studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in his hometown. There, he learned from Isabel García Soto.

After that, Celso went to the Queen Sofía College of Music in Madrid. He studied with well-known teachers like Tom Krause and Manuel Cid. To make his singing even better, he trained with the famous tenor Carlo Bergonzi at the Busseto Academy.

Celso Albelo's Opera Career

Celso Albelo started his professional opera career in 2006. His first major role was as the Duca di Mantova in Verdi's opera Rigoletto in Busseto. He even sang alongside the famous baritone Leo Nucci in this performance.
