Central Delhi is an important area in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India. It's like the heart of Delhi, full of history and busy places.
This district is surrounded by the Yamuna River to the east. To its north is North Delhi, to the west are West Delhi and South West Delhi, and to the south is New Delhi. Across the Yamuna to the east is East Delhi.
Central Delhi is a busy place with many tall buildings and the main business area. It's also home to Shahjahanabad, which was once the capital city of the Mughal Empire. Here you can find famous landmarks like the Delhi Fort and the Jama Masjid, which is Delhi's biggest mosque.
For administrative purposes, Central Delhi is divided into two smaller areas: Darya Ganj and Pahar Ganj.
