Cerler, officially called Aramón Cerler, is a super fun ski resort! It's located high up in the beautiful Benasque Valley in the central Pyrenees mountains of Spain. It's close to a town called Benasque. Imagine skiing with amazing views of some of the tallest peaks in the Pyrenees, like Aneto and Posets!

What is Cerler Ski Resort?

Cerler is a fantastic place for skiing and snowboarding. It has 72 kilometers of marked ski runs, also known as pistes. It's one of the highest ski resorts in the Pyrenees mountains.

The highest point you can ski from is 'Gallinero' peak. It's super high at 2650 meters above sea level! This means you get a huge vertical drop of 1150 meters. A vertical drop is the difference in height between the highest and lowest points you can ski.

The Village and Ski Areas

The village of Cerler is at the bottom of the resort, at 1500 meters above sea level. It's a mix of old buildings and newer hotels and apartments. A special 4-seat chair lift takes you from the village up to the ski slopes.

The resort has two main ski areas: Cerler and Ampriu. You can reach both areas by road, and they both have parking. Don't worry, chair lifts connect the two areas, so you can easily ski between them!

Ski Lifts at Cerler

Ski lifts are like special rides that take you up the mountain. Cerler has modern lifts that can carry lots of skiers quickly.

  • There are 9 chair lifts.
  • You'll find 5 ski tows, which pull you along the snow.
  • There are also 5 magic carpet lifts, which are like moving sidewalks for beginners.
  • In total, these lifts can carry 24,800 skiers every hour!

Ski Runs (Pistes)

Cerler offers 65 different ski runs, so there's something for everyone! They are colored to show how difficult they are:

  •       7 green runs are for beginners. These are the easiest slopes.
  •       16 blue runs are easy. They are a bit more challenging than green runs.
  •       25 red runs are intermediate. These are for skiers who have some experience.
  •       14 black runs are for experts. These are the steepest and most challenging slopes!

Services for Skiers

When you're at Cerler, you'll find everything you need for a great day on the slopes:
