- Forestville is a small village located within the township. It sits right on the shore of Lake Huron. The M-25 highway runs through it. Forestville has its own ZIP code, 48434, which provides mail service to a small part of the township near the village.
- Charleston was another old settlement in the township. It was first settled around 1864 and was originally called "Cato." A post office opened there in December 1872. Sadly, in September 1881, a huge fire known as the Thumb Fire destroyed all 21 buildings in Charleston. The community was rebuilt after the fire. Today, Charleston is mostly just a crossroads, not a large settlement.

- Minden City is to the west. Its ZIP code, 48456, serves most of the northern part of the township.
