Chester is a small village in Thayer County, Nebraska, United States. In 2020, about 226 people lived there.
Chester is famous for being the place where six-man football was invented. Every year, the village hosts an event called Chesterfest. It happens on the last weekend of June. Chesterfest has many fun things like vendors, games, a car show, and a concert on Saturday evening.
History of Chester
Chester was officially started in 1880. This happened when the railroad lines were built to reach that spot. The village was named after Chester A. Arthur, who was the President of the United States at that time.
