Where is Chewton Located?
Chewton is found in the southern part of Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. It sits on a high piece of land, or bluff, that looks over the east side of the Beaver River. Right across the river is the town of Wampum.
Nearby Towns and Roads
Chewton is about 9 miles (14 km) south of New Castle, which is the main city of Lawrence County. A road called Pennsylvania Route 288 goes through the southwestern part of Chewton. This road crosses the Beaver River into Wampum and also goes southeast to Ellwood City, which is about 4 miles (6 km) away.
