Chicane is the stage name of English musician and record producer Nick Bracegirdle. He was born on 28 February, 1971, in Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, England.
Chicane is famous for his hit songs like "Offshore" and "Saltwater". "Offshore" became a popular dance anthem in Ibiza. "Saltwater" features vocals by Clannad member Máire Brennan. It is one of the most well-known songs in the trance style.
Another big hit was "Don't Give Up", which reached number one in the UK. This song featured vocals by the famous singer Bryan Adams. It also made it into the top ten in many other countries across Europe.
