Jonathan Arthur "Chico" DeBarge (born June 23, 1966) is an American R&B singer and musician. He is known for his smooth voice and catchy songs. Chico was once part of the famous DeBarge family musical group. Later, as a solo artist, he had a popular song called "Talk to Me" in 1986.

Chico DeBarge's Music Journey
Chico DeBarge started his solo music career with Motown Records in the mid-1980s.
Early Albums and Hits
His first album, also called Chico DeBarge, came out in 1986. It featured the hit song "Talk To Me," which was very popular. This album also had another song, "The Girl Next Door," that did well on the R&B music charts.
Two years later, he released his second album with Motown, named Kiss Serious. This album included the popular R&B song "Rainy Night." Other songs from the album, like "I've Been Watching You" and the title track "Kiss Serious," also charted.
Returning to Music
After some time away, DeBarge returned to music in the mid-1990s. He joined Kedar Massenberg's record label, Kedar Entertainment, which was known for its neo-soul music.
His third album, Long Time No See, was released in 1997. It was praised by music critics. The song "Iggin' Me" from this album was played a lot on the radio. The album also had other singles like "Love Still Good," "No Guarantee" (which he sang with Joe), and "Virgin."
Chico also released a song called "Superman" that was featured in the 1998 movie Woo, starring Jada Pinkett Smith.
More Success and New Labels
His fourth album, The Game, came out in 1999. The main song from this album, "Give You What You Want (Fa Sure)," became one of his biggest hits. A remix of this song featured the rapper Trina. He also reunited with R&B singer Joe for the song "Listen To Your Man."
Later, Chico DeBarge moved to an independent record label called Koch Records. Here, he released his 2003 album Free. This album included the song "Home Alone," which also got some radio play.
In 2005, Chico contributed a song called "Hard Times" to the Beauty Shop movie soundtrack. He also appeared in a music video for Joe's song "We're Family" in 2008.
His sixth studio album, Addiction, was released in 2009 under Kedar Entertainment Group. It featured the song "Oh No."
Recent Activities
In 2010, Chico DeBarge performed with other artists like Glenn Jones and Regina Belle in Tampa, Florida.
In March 2017, he shared that he was working on a new album. He also mentioned that he was helping with a new album for the DeBarge family, which was planned for 2018.
In September 2017, he released his first new song in eight years, called "Feel Good." It featured artists Jim Jones and Capone Noel. Also, his 2003 album Free was updated and re-released with extra songs.
