The Chilean Air Force (called FACh for short) is the part of Chile's military that operates in the air. It protects the country's skies and helps in many important ways. It was officially started on March 21, 1930. Its motto is "Quam celerrime ad astra," which means "As swiftly as possible to the stars."

What the Chilean Air Force Does

The main job of the Chilean Air Force is to keep Chile safe from threats in the air. They also help with many other tasks.

Protecting the Country

  • Defending Airspace: They patrol Chile's skies to make sure no unauthorized aircraft enter.
  • National Security: They work with other parts of the Chilean Armed Forces to protect the country.

Helping People

Aircraft of the Chilean Air Force

The Chilean Air Force uses many different types of airplanes and helicopters. Each type has a special job.
