Chimboya, also known as Chimbolla, is a tall mountain in the Andes mountains of Peru. It stands about 5,489 meters (18,008 feet) high. This mountain is part of the La Raya mountain range.
People sometimes call Chimboya by other names like Inchurusi, Iruna, or Vilcanota. These names might come from the Aymara language, which is spoken by some people in the Andes.
Chimboya is located in two different regions of Peru. Part of it is in the Cusco Region, specifically in the Canas Province and Layo District. The other part is in the Puno Region, in the Melgar Province and Santa Rosa District.
This mountain is found northeast of the La Raya Pass. It is also southeast of another mountain called Yana Khuchilla.
