China Grove is a city in Rowan County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 3,563 at the 2010 census. The city is located just north of Landis and south of Salisbury. It was one of the first towns in the United States to have Rural Free Mail Delivery.
The town was named for a grove of chinaberry trees planted near the depot.
Geography
China Grove is located at 35°34′13″N 80°34′41″W / 35.57028°N 80.57806°W (35.570289, -80.577934).

Most students in the town are served by the Rowan-Salisbury School System and primarily go to South Rowan High School, located in the town.
