Chris Bourne's Football Journey
Playing for Different Clubs
Chris Bourne started playing football when he was 12 years old. He began as a goalkeeper for his school team. Later, he moved to play in other positions on the field.
He has played for many different teams that are part of what's called "non-League football." This means they are not in the very top professional leagues. Some of these teams include Canvey Island, Billericay Town, Welling United, Brentwood Town, Heybridge Swifts, and Croydon Athletic.
Playing for His Country
Chris Bourne also plays for the Guyana national team. He made his first international appearance, called a "cap," on January 22, 2008. This game was against Cuba in Linden, Guyana. Just two days later, he played another game against Cuba in Georgetown.
Off the Pitch
Chris's father, Gary Bourne, was also a footballer. He used to play for Millwall. Besides playing, Chris also manages an amateur Sunday league football team called FC Gulls.
