Christopher Dana Broussard, born on October 28, 1968, is a well-known American sports expert. He works as an analyst and commentator for Fox Sports 1 (FS1) and Fox Sports Radio. He is most famous for his reporting on the NBA, which is the National Basketball Association.
Currently, he is a co-host on FS1's afternoon show First Things First. He also co-hosts The Odd Couple with Rob Parker on Fox Sports Radio. Before joining Fox Sports, Broussard worked for The New York Times, ESPN The Magazine, and ESPN.com. He also appeared on ESPN shows like SportsCenter, NBA Countdown, First Take, and NBA Fastbreak as an analyst.

Early Life and Education
Broussard was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His family moved often when he was a child because of his father's job. They lived in several cities, including Cincinnati, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Cleveland, Ohio.
In 1986, he graduated from Holy Name High School. This was a private Catholic school in Parma Heights, Ohio. Chris was a great football and basketball player there. In 2016, he was honored by being added to the school's Hall of Fame. After high school, he attended Oberlin College. He earned a bachelor's degree in English in May 1990. He also played as a point guard on the Oberlin basketball team.

Sportswriting Career
Chris Broussard started his career in sports writing in 1990. His first job was at The Plain Dealer newspaper. He worked there for four years. After that, he moved to the Akron Beacon Journal. There, he began covering the NBA, focusing on the Cleveland Cavaliers for two and a half seasons.
In 1998, Broussard joined The New York Times. He covered the New Jersey Nets for two years. Then, he reported on the New York Knicks for three years. He also spent a year covering the NBA in general. In September 2004, he started working for ESPN The Magazine.
TV Career
In 2004, while still writing, Broussard began appearing on ESPN. He became a regular NBA insider and analyst. He also sometimes joined First Take to debate sports topics with Skip Bayless. For the 2011–12 NBA season, Broussard joined ABC's NBA Countdown pregame show as an NBA insider. He also spent three years as a sideline reporter for games shown on ESPN and ABC.
In October 2016, Broussard left ESPN to join Fox Sports 1. He explained that he wanted a role where he could be more of a commentator and analyst. At FS1, Broussard is a regular on shows like Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, First Things First, and Lock It In. On August 30, 2021, he became a co-host of First Things First. He took over from former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
In 2018, Broussard also became a co-host of a national radio show. The show is called The Odd Couple. His co-host is Rob Parker, who is also a sports analyst at FS1. You can listen to The Odd Couple on FOX Sports Radio and Sirius XM Channel 83.
Personal Life
Chris Broussard has been married to his wife, Crystal, since 1995. They have two twin daughters named Alexis and Noelle.
He often talks about his Christian faith. He has been a Christian since 1989 and was raised Catholic.
Besides his work as a sports commentator, Broussard is the founder and president of The K.I.N.G. Movement. This is a national Christian men's organization. It aims to help men grow in their Christian faith and way of life. K.I.N.G. stands for Knowledge, Inspiration, and Nurture through God. The organization has groups in different cities.
In 2023, Broussard worked with The Institute of World Politics Chair of Law and Human Rights Matthew Daniels. They released a six-part Bible study. This study was based on the life and teachings of Martin Luther King Jr.. It was supported by Andrew Young and shared by Urban Ministries and a part of HarperCollins.
