Christopher Dana Broussard (born October 28, 1968) is a well-known American sports analyst. He is also a commentator for Fox Sports 1 (FS1) and Fox Sports Radio. Chris Broussard is famous for his coverage of the NBA, which is the National Basketball Association.

Today, he helps host the afternoon show First Things First on FS1. He also co-hosts The Odd Couple with Rob Parker on Fox Sports Radio. Before this, he worked for The New York Times and ESPN. He appeared on ESPN shows like SportsCenter and NBA Countdown.

Early Life and School

Chris Broussard was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His family moved often because of his father's job. He lived in several cities, including Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Cleveland.

In 1986, he finished high school at Holy Name High School. This is a private school in Parma Heights, Ohio. Chris was a great football and basketball player there. He was even added to the school's Hall of Fame in 2016. After high school, he went to Oberlin College. He graduated in 1990 with a degree in English. He also played as a point guard on the Oberlin basketball team.

Sportswriting Career

Broussard began his career as a sportswriter in 1990. He first worked for The Plain Dealer newspaper for four years. After that, he joined the Akron Beacon Journal. There, he started covering the NBA. He spent two and a half seasons writing about the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In 1998, Broussard moved to The New York Times. He covered the New Jersey Nets for two years. Then he wrote about the New York Knicks for three years. He also covered the NBA in general for one year. In September 2004, he joined ESPN The Magazine.

TV Career

In 2004, Chris Broussard started appearing on ESPN. He became a regular NBA insider and analyst. He also sometimes debated sports topics on First Take. For the 2011–12 NBA season, he joined ABC's NBA Countdown show. He worked as an NBA insider for the pregame show. He also spent three years as a sideline reporter for games on ESPN and ABC.

In October 2016, Broussard left ESPN to join Fox Sports 1 (FS1). He wanted to have more roles as a commentator and analyst. At FS1, he is a regular on shows like Skip and Shannon: Undisputed and The Herd with Colin Cowherd. On August 30, 2021, Broussard became a co-host of First Things First.

In 2018, Broussard also became a co-host of a national radio show. The show is called The Odd Couple. His co-host is Rob Parker, another sports analyst. You can hear The Odd Couple on FOX Sports Radio.

Personal Life

Chris Broussard has been married to his wife, Crystal, since 1995. They have twin daughters named Alexis and Noelle.

He often talks about his Christian faith. He has been a Christian since 1989. He was raised in the Catholic church.

Broussard also founded The K.I.N.G. Movement. This is a national Christian men's organization. It helps men grow in their Christian faith. K.I.N.G. stands for Knowledge, Inspiration, and Nurture through God. The organization has chapters in different cities.

In 2023, Broussard worked with Matthew Daniels to create a Bible study series. This series is based on the life and teachings of Martin Luther King Jr..
