Chrishuna Williams (born March 31, 1993) is an American middle-distance runner. She is known for her speed in races like the 800 meters. She has competed in major events, including the Olympics.

Chrishuna Williams: Her Running Journey

Chrishuna Williams is a talented American runner. She used to focus on the 400-meter race. Later, she became a top competitor in the 800 meters.

Professional Running Career

Chrishuna showed her skill by qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 800 meters. She represented the  United States at the Olympics. She finished 35th in the 800-meter race.

In 2017, Chrishuna ran the 800-meter final at the 2017 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She finished 5th with a time of 2:00.58. At the 2016 United States Olympic Trials (track and field), she placed 3rd in the 800 meters. Her time was 1:59.59, which helped her qualify for the Olympics.

Chrishuna was also part of Team USA that set a world indoor record. This happened in the 4 × 800-meter relay. The team achieved this amazing feat on February 3, 2018. It was at the Millrose Games. Their record-breaking time was 8:05.89. Chrishuna ran her part of the relay in 2:05.10. Other team members included Raevyn Rogers, Charlene Lipsey, and Ajee' Wilson.

College Achievements

Before turning professional, Chrishuna was a star athlete in college. She attended the University of Arkansas. There, she was a ten-time NCAA Division I All-American. Being an All-American means she was recognized as one of the best college athletes in the country.

She also won a national championship. This was as part of the distance medley relay team. Chrishuna earned thirteen conference honors. These were for her strong performances in track and field. She competed as a finalist in the Southeastern Conference.

High School Days

Chrishuna Williams graduated from DeSoto High School in north Texas in 2011. During her high school years, she was a key runner. She helped her team win the Texas Class 5A University Interscholastic League 4 × 400-meter title. Their winning time was 3:41.41. She ran alongside Maegan Cowan, Kierra Hamilton, and Tia Gamble.

Chrishuna also performed well in individual races. She placed 4th in 2010 and 3rd in 2011. These were in the Texas 5A University Interscholastic League 400-meter state championship finals.
